WWII VetThe World War II Veterans Honor Flight departs from Abilene. Daddy is joining 238 other veterans from West Texas for a flight to Washington DC to visit the World War II Memorial and other sites. A motorcycle honor guard of Viet Nam vets escorted the 10 tour buses to the Abilene Civic Center where a flag-waving crowd greeted the vets as they entered for dinner.
What a wonderful honor for your dad and all the other veterans. They are heroes for all of us!
